7.田裡种稻
例如:
田裡种稻，其果则得大米，不得荞麦; 种荞麦种子，其果则得荞麦，不得大米;若种子混合播种，其果则得混合榖。
同样，我们累积善业，其果则乐不苦;累积恶业，其果则苦不乐;造善恶混合业，其果则受苦乐交杂。
在佛陀时代，有位屠夫，为了维持生计， 白天不得不杀生。他为了想减轻恶业，发誓每天晚上到第二天早上醒来之前，持不杀生戒。他死后，因为种种业缘，投生到孤独地狱。每当天色开始暗下来时，他的房屋就变成非常华丽的宫殿，宫中有四位美女服侍他，快乐无比。
可是到第二天破晓时，整个房屋就变成大火燃烧的铁屋，四位美女则变成四隻恶狗不断在咬他，这是 因为他誓守夜晚不杀生，但白昼从事杀业之果报。
还有一个邪淫者白天守持不邪淫戒(晚上行邪淫)，后来转生到孤独地狱中，白天晚上所感 受的苦乐与前面的例子相反。
古大德云:
欲知前世因，今生享者是;
欲知后世果，今生作者是。
8.阿修达
印度有一种叫阿修达的树，其种子只有芥子那麽大，长出的树却高大无比，且结果无数。而善恶业异熟果的增长，比其还惊人，就算是很细微的善恶业，也会有很大的果报。
善知识藏语又称格西，往昔指的是噶当派的善知识，现今是善知识的统称。到后来，获得格西学位变成是藏地的传统和风气。
所谓的格西（善知识），并非拿到某一学位，只要是自己具足善知识的功德，如此自然就成了善知识，自然就成了格西。
