5.语言自在
班智达语自在扎巴犯了根本堕，为逃避此罪而造邪论故，不久便在脖子上长了一颗瘤，饮食难进。
他特向空行母像祷告，佛像开口道:
「这是你造邪论之果，病非但不可癒，下世还会堕落恶道。」
如此精通三藏的班智达因轻蔑业果而遭恶报，何况是我们!
所以应当特别谨慎造业。
《大般若波罗蜜多经》云:
「造作种种恶不善业，尚违善趣况大菩 提!」
又云:「此十恶法尚碍善趣二乘圣道，况大 菩提!故应远离。」
6.分叉路
在岔路口的过路客，若向右迈一步前去，则会远离左边的路;若向左迈一步前去，则会远离右边的路。
同样，今我们断除十不善，修持十善，则远离三恶道;若断十善，行十不善，则远离善趣及解脱。所以，要得到究竟的快乐或遭受长远的痛苦，在于你自己。
就如同《圣树经》云:
「至高无上菩提觉， 生为善趣天与人，饿鬼旁生地狱三，如何抉择自作 主。」
善知识藏语又称格西，往昔指的是噶当派的善知识，现今是善知识的统称。到后来，获得格西学位变成是藏地的传统和风气。
所谓的格西（善知识），并非拿到某一学位，只要是自己具足善知识的功德，如此自然就成了善知识，自然就成了格西。
